Situation

When Adams County sought out HR services, they identified several challenges related to their organizational training model for 2,500 employees. The primary issues included poor attendance, particularly at the upper management level, and minimal offerings to support entry-level employees. The leadership team also desired to develop organizational culture. Recognizing the need for a comprehensive solution, our HR team devised a set of strategic measures to address these challenges.

Action

To ensure we developed targeted solutions, we initiated an organization-wide survey and met with key stakeholders to identify trends and gather insights into the existing workplace culture. This information formed the basis for our tailored solutions, including the implementation of a new Learning Management System (LMS) to enhance the overall training experience. Simultaneously, we revamped their training program, featuring improved offerings through a more engaging LMS, including coaching elements that provided ongoing support and motivation for employees.

Recognizing the importance of leadership development, we implemented an executive management training program to address the lack of interest and participation at the upper management level. This holistic approach aimed to bridge the gaps in both entry-level and upper-level management training, ensuring a more cohesive and effective organizational training model for Adams County.

Impact

The new LMS and enhanced training program not only increased attendance and interest but also provided a more interactive and tailored learning experience. The introduction of coaching elements added a personalized touch, further boosting engagement. The implementation of executive management training addressed the specific needs of upper-level management, fostering leadership development and organizational cohesion. Ultimately, these measures reinvigorated Adams County’s training model, contributing to a more skilled, engaged, and effective workforce.

Callouts

The entire process from assessment, design to implementation was completed within 90 days. Ultimately, the increased attendance 15% and received significant buy in with the senior leadership team.
